MOLD in my tank??

YES! It looks like cotton candy. Not as thick, but texture wise it does.
Its growing on my rock and started on my mushroom. I also have an anemonae in there and it gre a lot around him but it was still on the rock. Then I got a spoon and swished the water around and tried to get it off the rock and when it did come off it came off in lie a string.

oh my gosh. I just started this so I haven't learned the language yet. 
What are DT's?
I just started my tank about a week ago so I'm guessing it's not a sponge.
As for chemicals I add iodine, calicum, stability and prime. Are those the right things to be adding? Is there anything else I should buy?

I honestly don't know what the stability and prime are. Who makes them? Since I haven't read anything about them on the several fish boards I hang out on I would be hesitant to add them to my tanks.

They are both made by Seachem. All the chemicals I have are made by them. Someone once told me that they were the best brand but I'm guessing they were wrong?
Where can I buy that DT and Liquid life stuff? Do you think petsmart or petco would have them? The normal marine stores are so far from me.

If your tank is only a week old then they probably aren't the sponges I was talking about. DTs should be sold at your LFS. It needs to be properly refrigerated so shipping is very tricky. I would just buy it locally.
Seachem makes excellent products. I've heard of everything you're dosing except the 'stability' which is possibly Alkalinity or buffer. You are dosing a whole lot for such a new system. :wink:

If you want to cycle quickliy you can get yourself some saltwater bio-spira... Is is an instant cycler.... Also prime will probably cause your tank to crash if you use it daily... Prime is a tap water conditioner that also gets rid of ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates. If you are doing the ammonia method of cycling prime will destroy the ammonia making you think your tank is fully cycled and then you add your fish, corals, and inverts and you think everything will be fine but ammonia will rise like crazy.... Well BIO-Spira instantly cycles your tank and depending on yoor tank size you can put more for more bacteria for even more bacteria to stock a little bit more... Well for Bio-spira just add it and the fish and you should have a fully cycled tank. There will be little ammonia spikes like only up to .25ppm and cloudy water that indicates bacteria bloom to adapt to your stocking level. Just make sure it's not expired and that its the SALTWATER kind and not the freshwater kind. Lastly rememeber to shake it to mix the bacteria with the water and not just pour saltwater into your tank. HTH!!!
