Matte or Gloss paint on back glass?

Searching the site it appears that black is the best color for painting the back glass of your Nano. Which is better, matte or gloss? I would guess matte but you never know.

doesnt really matter cause when you see it through the tank matte looks gloss cause of the reflection in the glass. its all personal preference. HTH

"The Kapenta Kid",
I'd have to say that both are good and it doesn't really matter which you use - they both look the same after seeing it through glass. I'd have to agree with both Jennie and drty811. :cool1:

Black backing will make your lighting look less bright. I personally have, and like, blue. Black can also show more algae and other stuff that appears on the glass. And like everyone else already said, matte or gloss will both work.. i personally used blue Fusion gloss spray.

My opinion, if you don't know what color you want to make it (or think that you may change your mind later) then go with the colored paper. I did that with mine and haven't had any regret. I purchased the solid black with a reverse side being blue.
