Cool mantis! I see those around my LFS and they always amaze me how they react to you and their environment... very alert little creatures.

Those mantis are a crusher type I think and they have to do that walling up and removing for them to fell at home. If he ever stops you can be sure something is very wrong. If you post those pictures over on reef central the experts over there can help you ID it if you are still curious. I've seen some nice footage of a mantis shrimp devouring a fish...

Molted! NOW HES BRIGHT GREEN! :)

The Mantis hid out for a day, and emerged into a beautiful bright green color, almost neon like, with a little bit of blue. How cool for him to go from rusty brown to beautiful.

I found he is the n. wennera variety of Mantis, and this color change is common under full spectrum lighting.

I will post pics soon! I cannot catch him out!
