I have the ceramic and bio-balss in the second chamber. Ive been reading up and finding out that it is better to have the rubble instead of ceramic and balls. Do you put the rubble in a mesh bag or just let it sit in the chamber freely? ive read 3 L.B.s. works best. How big are the pieces. (Thanks ahead of time)

I cant answer you on the ammount but I can say that it does not need a mesh bag just place it in the chamber loose

I used about 2 pounds and could add some more, just put it in loose. LR rubble peices are usuall around golf ball sized with some smaller and some a tad larger.
