Unless it gets really large it's unlikely to go after a sleeping fish as long as the fish is healthy. Many of them may not go after fish no matter how large they get. Think of them as tank vultures. Vultures eat dead animals, and if they're really hungry may attempt one that's very, very injured, but not quite dead yet, but they're not ever going to go after something that's healthy. Consider BWs as just part of the tank. You're NEVER going to get rid of all of them, even if you FW dipped every piece of rock and coral that you ever put in your tank, some of them will still survive and make it in the tank. Keep an eye out for exceptionally large ones, (10"-12" or larger), or if you see one that you think is a fireworm pull it out, but otherwise you'll drive yourself crazy if you worry about every BW you see.cadeucsb said:yea, my only concern was him growing and eventually eating coral/fish that sleep near the rock (if they are sick or whatever)...right now i dont mind his presence, especially after reading that most LR has them... and i can use all the cleaning help i can get since im just using a standard HOB filter
