Thanks everyone! Little brothers pretty happy with the final result. Me?.... I still want to build a skimmer and a calcium reactor :mrgreen: Hopefully soon.

Which skimmer or design are you lookin into building? I would love to build an in-sump skimmer...right now I just have the BakPak hangin on my fuge.

I've planned to build a recirculating EuroReef style skimmer but now I'm pondering other ideas. When I do put something together I'll make sure to document the build just in case anyone can benefit from it.

Very nice 20 long! Like the aquascaping and the simple & clean plumbing job. Can't wait to see it fully stocked and growing! :bigthumup:

rip i love this tank! so simple yet very functional and yeah........"stocked and growing" - gonna be nice..... little brother will be a happy reefer - you may not get those corals back :)

THanks fellas! Yep I'm with you guys... definitely anxious to see this thing stocked and matured. Tomorrow we're going SPS frag shopping in a buddies tank so hopefully that'll livin things up a bit. We've been talking and he thinks he's gonna go all SPS. I just need to keep him on that train of thought... or at least until I get my corals back :mrgreen:

What's goin on with your quest for a DIY skimmer? Im lookin at upgrading my bakpak 2r to maybe a mini ASM... that is, unless i ccan DIY one.

New addition. Radioactive neon green candy cane. LIttle bros tank is turning into big bros holding tank :mrgreen:

I had to adjust the color on the top pic. It came out a bit too bright but the bottom pic is an accurate display of what they look like.

Hey ripcurrent could you please pm me the tank specs . I love your set up and would like to make one bassed on it . I have 3 Q about this idea 1. How much would it coast to plumb thise tank. 2. Could i use one drain to the sump insted of 2 . 3. I only want about 400 - 500 gph flow in the tank so should i use a mag 6 in the sump?

what an impressive tank you guys put together. I need my brother Mike to make me a custom setup of the exact 20 you got going on. Would be cool to have it all setup that same way. It looks great!

Trust me you will be impressed, I promise... Remember the 20 gallon tank you fell in love with at Aquarium Concepts and said you wanted it?

All the LFS blow in Orange County regarding selection of tanks with overflow... Sorry for being so blunt but I was seriously let down by what I saw for sale the week I was down there...

ripcurrent, you'll have to email over what's all involved with this custom work, and I 'm sure my brother can figure it out and buy what he'd need.

how far out from the wall is that tank? i want do do something like that only with one overflow and a smaller pump an use a Tunze Nanostream 6025 for flow. how did you make the durso's?
