I built my tank tank and stand yesterday, and I am now looking for a affordable way to light it, I found a few websites, and I would like to see if anyone has any comments, This one here looked to be the best deal, but who knows... www.affordablelighting.com it looks like you could pick up a MH setup for under $100.00 just you have too DIY, which is fine with me. Still looking for a good deal on flouro, lighting..

In the long run the operating cost of the tank is going to far exceede the initial hardware cost. Another option is to buy used equipment, if you're persistant and have time you can buyused PC lighting for 50% or more off of retail.

Well, I went out and bought a 10g and some live sand and rock today, and set it up, it was alot easier than i thought getting the salt right and everything, it has been running for about 4 hours now and that headace i had is now gone that I have a tank to look at, the 55g is still in the works, waiting to set that up until I have more $$$, I am now officialy nano-tanking so. The live rock I bought came with some hermits attched to it and they have been just crusin the tank and they look happy, the rock itself has alge built up un it so i will pick up some cleaners and a grazing fish in a few weeks to control that. I could not belive how expensive the rock was $8.99 a pound, and I have about 25lbs in there, I dont want to see the price when I fill my 55g
