Hey NanoJimmy, :welcome to Nanotank.com! IF you are looking to keep beginning corals, I would go T-5 that way you have a little wiggle room, if you want to go beyond softies, but not all the way to SPS. What are all of the dimensions of your tank? If it is a cube you can get the 24" Nova extreme by Current USA, which runs $170 on premiumaquatic.com, but looking for a used one you could get it cheaper.

Its 24in tall tank. My friend works at the Georgia Aquarium and recommended a Current USA Nova Extreme 4x24w, but its kind of expensive and trying to look for a use one. What kind of corals do you think would be best and fairly easy to take care of? Thanks

Xenia, Most leathers, Palys, Zoas, Mushrooms, GSP (green Star Polyps) are the easiest. Palys and zoas can get you some cool color too.

You can’t go wrong with the Nova Extreme, but if you’re buying a used one do check it thoroughly for damage.

Ditto on Alex’s recommendations. :D
