Lighting and Shrooms

I just got my new 36W light hood in and put it on my tank (upgraded from a measley 13W), and i noticed that some of my mushrooms look like they're starting to detach from their rock. I was wondering if this might be due to the increase in light.

Do mushrooms generally like more light, or less light? I was wondering if i should try moving the rock with them on it into a shadier spot in the tank...

yes most shrooms prefer shady areas if yours don't look happy move them till you find a spot they like

I depends on what type of mushrooms. Some like shadier areas, some like more light. 32w isn't a lot, but it is a big increase from what they're used to. Move them to a shadier spot for a week or so and then gradually move them back up to where you'd like them.
