Thanks. Its another one of my hobbies I am starting to explore now that my tank has nothing to do but grow :)

Gunna try a few other things tomorrow. But for now I am done. Worked a few hours on a beach pic today and got it done a few hours ago.

That is very cool. It is very unique and I like the contrast you've created. Do some more like that I would like to see em.

personally like the one with the clowns and the anemone, really makes them stand out, especially if the topic was just about them.....it's makes one focus on just that and see the rest as insignificant. Very nice job!!

Yeah, I like that one to. I don't like the copperband that much. The problem is the background was blue and since his tail is so thin and clear it pulls in the blue. Makes it not look so good.

But the other two I think i will get printed out professionally. The contrast just makes the color POP! Its awsome. I have something else I am going to try.

djconn- Go for it :)

sugar- Photoshop CS - Please don't ask how. Prefer not to give away all my secrets :) You can find out I am sure, but it's no fun having tons of people doing the same thing if you know what I mean.

incysor- thanks!

I've done it once or twice but with people. I too have Adobe Photoshop CS, and it's fun to do, but it's also time consuming. If I ever dare to mess with it again, I'll post up for those who wish to learn. Also a good google search will do wonders on "how to" Best of luck.

So for now, Kris is the obi-wan of these creations. :)

Yup, very time consuming. Some images you can get away with, with shortcuts and it doesn't take long. But for those images with finer lines and many of them that are very noticeable, its much harder to do. You have to go in and do it pixel by pixel. Also remember, undo is your friend :)

Thanks dragon for not spoiling my fun :) I suppose I could help people figure this out .. in a few months! MUHAHAHAHA!

Thanks all for the comments. Anyone have any pictures they want converted? The colorfull, the better!

Kris,
you made me decide to break out some photoshop toys again and try a pic like this. What do you think?

DAMN YOU! Just kidding :) Looks great! Love the clown. Seems like I did start a trend. Was it as time consuming for you as it was for me?

Great picture. Please tell me about the spray bar I see in the back. If that's what I think it is I would like to know a bit about it.

It wasn't too bad (1 hr and 20mins) and I've been waiting at my house for a Fed-ex delivery from Reefermadness so I had some free time.

The spraybar is on my return from my sump. I am actually looking at making two bars soon to see how that works. I am thinking instead of an elbow on the top of the return, I could do a "t" and have one spraybar along the back like there is now spraying from back to front and add a second spraybar along the right side of the tank spraying from right to left. I don't know how much it will help but I am sure it would create some randomness in the water motion.

It is currently being powered by a RIO 1700 but I am looking at a Quite One 3000 (small enough to fit in the tight sump) to give me some more flow. When I do that, I will probably have to widen the holes on the spraybar to reduce the massive amount of velocity that would occur.

You may not have to add larger holes. Adding Ts or 90s to your plumbing reduces flow quite a lot.
