ok, so i recently found a few little anemones in my tank while moving around some rockwork. After closer inspection, they really don't look or act at all like the aptasia I've nuked so many times before. They are short and fat, with a tan base and a white disk. The tenticals are all short and each on has a small yellow bubble tip on it. Oh, and they are all no bigger around than the head of a nail. They only open up when they are in the shade, or the lights are off, and are so small they are almost indetectable when closed. I'm going to have to barrow a camera from someone to try and get some shots of these (cell phone camera just won't cut it....)

While you try to get that camera have a look around for ball anemone's (corynactis). Here's a rose ball anemone;

(note, that is sugar sand)

i wouldnt do anything unless they directly hurt another coral or inhabitant. sometimes your hitchhiker could be another coral of some sorts

One persons prized coral is another's pest. Just for example my wife likes the look of glass anemones but there is no way I'd put one in my tank for her. You do make a good point, don't kill what you don't know. It may be a good thing to have around and that's why an ID is so important.
