Jumping six-line

So, about three weeks ago I had an unfortunate event take place. Simultaneously my six-line and a yellow watchman goby died. I have been pondering this event ever since. Well as of last night I found closure on my six-line, literally. :cryb: I found him crisp like a potato chip on the floor next to my tank.

Anyone ever hear of a six-line jumping to his death? :eusthink

No I haven't. Sorry about your pets. Some people put eggcrate on top of their tank so it acts like an open top but helps keep the fish in. Sold in home improvement stores as "light diffuser". Sorry to hear about the fish.

Sorry to hear about your fish

I'd take Tim's advice and pick up some light diffuser material.

My six is a jumper, so I made a top with the mosquito screening at lowe's, problem solved.

Nice idea Angel! I was just really surprised I never saw him jump before and the one time he did there was no saving him  Thanks for the idea!

so you have fish that think they can walk and i have fish that use my overflow as a waterslide.......at this point all four of my fish are in my sump/fuge. think its time to get a screen for my bulkhead.lol

doesnt surprise me, wrasses and gobies are notorious for jumping, eggcrate is good but some sort of mesh wouldnt hurt the fish at all.
