Im new and have a lighting question

I recently bought the 24 gallon nano cube and want to start up a reef. It only has 72 watts and I wanted to know if that is enough light to keep montiporas, acros, and bubbles. If not, what are some options. Are there any easy mods I can make. Thanks so much everyone.

Bubble corals - yes. Bubble anemones, yes but you'll need to change your lights every 6-8 months. Montis - probably. Acros - no.

There are quite a few threads here on the mods that folks have done to add lighting. Nanocustoms.com is probably one of the best places to look at for purchasing an upgraded canopy.

I'd have to agree with Incysor, as I'm the owner of a 12 gallon cube with upgraded lights from nanocustoms...

You can add a simple mod yourself; that would be the T-5 by commodity axis. You should be able to squeeze two inbetween your current lights and daisy chain them for power...

Acros among my SPS corals are difficult to keep, in the beginning but after they get accustomed to your lights and water, watch out, they do great...

I speak from experience I haven't lost any of my acros and I have 2. I've had them in my tank since December 04...

They bloom every day.... I did have trouble with and lost a digitata, but it was because it got engulfed with algae...

I do not know who all knows this but Nanocustoms is no longer going to be doing products for the NANO Cubes. They have parted way. Chis is currently working on a acrlic tank that will be based off the NANO cube. You can find what you need maybe at great prices. He said once his invetory is gone its gone. You can go to www.nano-reef.com and go to the nan forum
