I have tons of these in my 4 week old nano cube. Should I be worried about them? I can not find any usefull information about them when doing internet searches. I have no information about them in my small library of reef books either. Sorry no picture...too small for my camera to take a shot.

Thanks for looking up that topic, but thats different from what I have. I am gonna try to use the camera from work and get a pic of them tonight. The things I have are about the size of a ball point pen and look like cotton balls with small hairs coming out with smaller cotton balls on the ends of the hairs..

Did that make sense??..I sure hope I can get a pic..

Yes they can sting they are a kind of jelly fish
they usually pose no harm to the tank unless you have dwarf seahorses usually they will just go away
however if they bother you go to www.seahorses.org you should be able to find something on how to rid them ,HTH

You can get rid of them by dosing the tank with panacur, you can find instructions on dosing at www.seahorse.org. You will need to get the panacur powder or crystals and not the tablets.
