How to calculate space for a tent event?

I’m planning an outdoor party for 50 people and I have no idea what size tent to rent or buy. I want to make sure there is enough room for tables and a small dance floor. Does anyone know how to figure out the dimensions so it doesn't feel crowded?

Selecting the right dimensions is tricky because you have to account for the height and rigging too. From my experience, checking out professional stretch tent pole sizes is a lifesaver.
