Anyone got some tips on attaching non-mounted mushrooms to pieces of liverock? I tried crazy glue but after a few hours, the mushroom slime just sorta negates the whole deal. I've tried using a cheesecloth to hold them in place before but they never attached... any tips?

place them in a small container (shotglass, tupperware) to protect them from current and prevent them from moving to much with a small rock and they will attach themselves in as little as a few days then place this plug on your reef rock and they will spread onto it. a but tougher to do is to use a 1 - 1.25 piece of PVC attached to the reef rock with rubber bands, twisty ties, or something and place them in there and again they will attach. its real simple if you can just keep them to sit still in the same spot for a while they'll do the rest. i've dropped them in holes in the reef rock and redirected current away from them for a few days and that works too. however cheeze cloth and superglue do not work as you have discovered.

A small container of gravel will also work, once they have attatched to the gravel you can glue the gravel where you want them.

Yeah, the gravel/bowl method works really good. I once tried to put some fine mest over a shroom then rubberbanded it down to a piece of rock. It didn't work out so good for me.
