Hope that I am not asking too many questions???
I set up my 12 g AquaPod 5 days ago with 20 lbs LS and 16 lbs of uncured LR. No lights are being used yet.
I have had trouble controling the temp (possibly faulty heater) and it has been swinging around some.
I have been testing and the SG about 1024, Ammonia 0, PH 7.7. Nitrite 0.4 and Nitrate 0.5. none of these figures have changed in the 5 days.
I brought a water sample into the Hospital Lab and they found:
SG 1016, Ammonia 0, PH 6.5 and small traces of Nitrite and Nitrate!
The SG can be adjusted by adding salt.
What should I do about the PH?
Other messages I have read seem to imply that the Ammonia should build up in just a couple of days??
I know that full cycling can take time but should I have seen changes by now?
As usual thanks for the help.... Geoff aka Didger
