Hello everyone. I'm new here. I just wanted to ask u all if u can help me. I'm thinking about useing a 10 gallon tank just for live rock in no fish just a pretty tank. I did some seach on here I saw some idea for the 10 gallon tank. I saw 2 post that 2 people had 10 gallon tank they look great. I wanted to know do I need a skimmer? just for live rock and sand. can I put clean crew in it?

so far I got on the seach that I was goimg to get for the tank is

Do I need a powerhead?

EDIt I might get a t-5 or a PC. Can I put coral in it without skimmer?

No, you don't need a skimmer (especially if no fish).

Yes you can put in a cleaning crew (but you may have to feed them since no left over food from fish feedings)

Yes you should have a power head, saltwater can go stagnate quick and the surface needs to agitate to help keep all the water parameters ideal. I'm not sure if that AC 20 will do enough (although you may be ok, check local fish clubs or online forums to buy power heads CHEAP)

Yes, you can add coral without a skimmer. If you go that route I would suggest getting the T5 (with individual reflectors - very important). LPS (frogspawn, bubble coral, hammer coral, and so on actual seem to do better in a DOC [dissolved organic compound] rich water column)

ok thx. Thx for the help tim.I have a fish store down the street where I live they have alots of diff t-5 light.so I guess I pick a really good light.I will make a post when i'm ready to start on my tank. Do u know how much live rock do I need to get for the 10 gallon?

You're welcome. For the live rock, well that is a matter of some preference. The live rock and sand are your main biological filters so I would try to keep about 10-15 pounds in there.
