A piece of filter cartridge may help introduce some bacteria but I don't think it will speed your cycle up because the bacterias have to multiply to sufficient numbers. I am not sure what you mean by it helping algae to grow faster, what kind of algae are you talking about growing?

There is nothing at this point that you can do sorry to break that to ya ....Patients is a must in this hobby .... As hard as it is to move slow the rewards in the end will far outweigh the time spent in waiting .... you will get further by taking steps ... now would be a great time to see which corals you want that will work with your lighting and what kind of fish you want ..... :mrgreen:

i used it once....didnt go back to it. when you add the part B, it made my tank cloudy. i didnt like to see my tank cloudy, it was only cloudy for alittle while. didnt really notice any diference when using it. HTH

If you don't need to supplement with extra calcium then you can skip this product, weekly water changes will add everything you need unless you have a massive calcium demand.

It would replace those additives but I would wait to see if you need anything other than weekly partial water changes. If you do need to supplement I would probably go with the nano A-B.

I use the maxi jet 900 like a return pump and the stock pump of the nano in the main tank for extra flow in my 12g nano cube.
