Green clown goby

I just got a green clown goby today. He didn't look too good in the bag (mailed from Live Aquaria) but seems to be mostly recovering now. The SG in that bag was only 1.021. Anyway, his tummy looks awfully sunken. Is that normal for clown gobies since they wedge in corals? He likes the fake pink Acropora coral in the tank. He doesn't seem to be the kind of fish to actively feed. What should I offer him? What do your clown gobies eat? I normally feed with "nano food" pellets and a frozen blend of half a dozen frozen saltwater foods and Cyclopeeze. Since my tanks are small, I mixed up a batch of food and froze it in mini ice cubes. Each cube is very small but has a lot of variety without the waste. So far, I haven't seen signs of eating. Aside from sitting in the fake Acropora, he will sort of dart to the various corners of the tank and act like he wants out desperately. That's pretty normal for new fish but I'm worried. Thanks.

I do mysis and brine occasionally (yeah I know it's basically popcorn for fish). Rods food makes it in the mix too.

Will they eat frozen foods or just live? I put in extra frozen food including mysis and brine today just to get him started. I haven't seen him eat but he was moving around. Should I worry? I don't want to overfeed but I want him to eat. He's not like the clown and firefish in my other tank who scarf up the food the second it hits the water.

It could take a bit for any fish to start taking foods. Go light on feedings, I use garlic extract to help get a finicky eater started. Also maybe try a variety of foods to see if you just have a very particular fish. Filet mignon anyone?

I HAVE HAD A GCG IN MY 10 GALLON FOR ABOUT 1 MONTH NOW. I GOT HIM FROM A LFS AND HE ALSO HAD THAT SUNKEN BELLY LOOK. ONCE IN MY TANK (THE ONLY INHABITANT OTHER THAN SNAILS) I TRIED BRINE AND FROZEN CYCLOPS, NEVER SAW HIM EAT FOR WEEKS. ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO I SAW HIM TAKE A LITTLE BITE OF CYCLOPS BUT NEVER MUCH AND HE HID ALL THE TIME. ABOUT ONE WEEK AGO I GOT A FIRE SHRIMP AND ADDED HIM TO THE TANK AND GABE (THE GOBIES NAME) STARTED PEAKING OUT A LITTLEMORE AND SWIMMING AROUND JUST A BIT LIKE THEY LIKED EACHOTHER. I WAS WATCHING THEM BOTH ABOUT 5 DAYS AGO AND THE NIGHT LIGHTS WENT ON AND THE SHRIMP STARTED MOVING AROUND SO I KEPT WATCHING. GABE CAME OUT AND STARTED HUNTING BUGS LIKE CRAZY. I AM NOT SURE Y BUT HE SEEMS TO PREFER TO EAT PODS AND CATCH THEM HIMSELF. I AM A BIT WORRIED CAUSE I HAVE A YOUNG SYSTEM AND NOT A TON OF PODS (NOT BAD THOUGH) BUT AT LEAST I KNOW HE IS EATING. I THINK THEY JUST TAKE A LONG TIME TO ADJUST TO THEIR NEW HOME. GOOD LUCK, I THINK THINGS WILL GET BETTER WITH TIME!

I too got a little Green Clown Goby, stomach all shrunken. The LFS do not feed their fish. It didn't eat for a week and I was worried. Now, it goes right up to the turkey baster when I sqirt the food in. I do a mix of frozen mysis, blood worms, Rods Reef foods, a drop of Selco and a drop of Kents Garlic. Thaw, mix and sqiirt. I feed over the plate coral so all the excess goes to him.
