I'm glad you made this little nitch in the forum. Maybe when the weather balances out we can get some trades going on.

Thanks Jennie. I've been having a little bit of a hard time finding decent LFS around here so maybe if we all put our heads together...

Yes, I'd be very interested to do some more frag trades with ya. I've still got a green hairy mushroom for you. I also just started up a ten gallon propagation tank which is already getting full with frags. About another month and we should be okay to thermos trade in the south I would think.

Hey guys! I think the best LFS in the area is FinAddict...at least they have some idea about conservation.

Have you looked over MAAST.org?

They'll probably be able to suggest stores in San Antonio. They did a good job letting me know which ones to hit on a long weekend in Austin.

Yeah, FinAddict is a good one. I found that store last week. Lots of friendly and knowledgeable staff with a good coral selection. I will def. be checking that place out again.

I guess I'm just spoiled coming from Houston. Maast.org is how I found FinAddict. There are only a handful of LFS with corals in SA its seems.

Maast is also having their monthly meeting in San Antonio on the 13th. Just thought I would let everyone know incase they don't frequent the site often.

Do you ever go to those Jennie? Are they any good?

How are their frag swaps?

ps. How is your tank looking now after the WC?

I have yet to make a meeting, but there are so many nice people there on the site. I did get a chance to meet Daniel (Salty) and his family. That is where my 110g tank went. I have heard that the frag swaps are great. Sooner or later I'll get to one of the meetings, but something has always come up.

I did my second WC and things look ok I guess. I think that the only thing that is going to make it ( and that's just a guess) is the ricordeas. Xenia, GSP, Candycane, Zoo's, both toadstools are goners.

Oh, DJ, the mushrooms that you wanted are going to make it as well. They've jumped ship from their rocks but look healthy. I would have thought that they ricordia and shrooms would have been the first to go, guess they are tougher than I gave them credit for!

Hey, I am on maast and also work at Fin-Addict.
We are hosting a MAAST meeting soon, in May I believe, and are planning to have a MASSIVE frag swap, 100's in fact. I will keep you posted.

New Reefer in S.A

I agree that Fin-Addict is the BEST in SA... They will help first, sell second... This Saltwater thing is great... I like it so much I am selling my freshwater setup and going all salt...

Fin-Addict is definatley the place to go! It is on Perrin-beitel(sp?) next to Tom's Ribs. They are VERY helpful and want to see you succeed! They answer all of your questions and help you out! Stop by if you get the chance. Not sure about LFS's in Austin but I'm sure someone knows!

This is the MAAST list of LFS in San Antonio.

Alamo Aquatics
Aquatic Warehouse
Awana Pets
Fishy Business
Fin-Addict
Fintique
Forever Pets Inc
PetCo
Petland
Texas Tropical & Marine
Wolf Reef

Not all are great, but we do have a larger selection than most areas.

There are also plenty of shops right outside of San Antonio.
