I just don't have any academy award winner nominee Crabs to enter. My brother had a beautiful pic but he said he's skipping this month.

So my bro and I are excited to be non biassed judges this month. May the best crab win. Can't wait to see the pics....

Haven't received many entries for this month's contest...
Just a tip DJ:

I found viewing at another site where they do prizes like this site, but the voting is different. They have no poll like here, but they have each user post up and vote by replying to the thread and putting who they vote for, and they also made it illegal for voting for yourself. Thought they would be inspiration for future voting. C-ya.

Dragon79-
If a user posts his/her own photo then everyone would know whose entry it is and play favorites. Thats why I've been doing it the way I have been. I have various methods in place to track user ids with ip addresses, etc and so far its been keeping things fair...

I also do not want to have to sift through tons of posts, adding up who people voted for.

ps. I'm always open for new ideas so thanks for the input.

That's cool, twas just something I saw. The only difference I could see would be to get your entries as you have been, then you post them up (as you have been), then have people vote on them by posting. That way they wouldn't know who they were, and there wouldn't be favorites. The only thing though, like you said, you would have to count the votes. It wouldn't be too bad, there has been like no more than 20 or so votes, right? There is always some flaw, but I guess things are cool the way they are, if any other bright ideas pop up, I'll be sure to let ya know. Laterz.

Well if you did it the way Dragon suggested you would have to monitor the posts to make sure there not coming from the same ip addresses. So that would mean you would have to check all the posts everyday and delete the ones that might be coming from the same ip addresses, just to make everything fair. I like the voting system that is in place now. But posting info on why you voted for which coral is a good idea. You could just do that when it comes time to vote. I guess the ppl that own the coral or inverts would just have to try and keep their mouths shut until a winner is declared. :D So that way you don't let everyone know who we are voting for :jacko: SHAMON!
