Filtering a 2.5

Just wondering what people are using to filter a 2.5 or similar size tank?
I currently have a small power filter, but it's not adjustable and it's creating too much flow and blowing my sand around (i have two mountains on either side of the tank, with bare acrylic in the middle :( )

I was looking at possibly getting the AquaClear 20 (adjustable, but rated for 5-10 gals), or possibly a TetraTec 10i internal filter (not sure if this will take up too much room in there, or what type of output it has, although it's rated at 2-10 gals)

Any ideas????

Thanks
Dave

The Aquaclear should be nice, or a whisper 20. both can adjust and you shouldn't have it blowin' up your sand as it was.

Thats odd iceburg, i've got an aquaclear 200 on my 2.5 with n worries. Flow is adjusted to highest level possible most of the time. Unless, by "AquaClear 20" you meant AC200; in which case it's really embarassing for me ;p

I have seen alot of people use the Palm filter (I think its made by Azoo), it has a flowrate of 16 gph so it shouldn't make too much current in your tank. HTH, Skip

Well, i ended up with the AquaClear 20 and it works like a dream!
At lowest flow setting it puts out about 33gph, so plenty of filtration, and not one grain of sand gets disturbed

The only thing i did have to do was cut about a 1 1/2" section out of the middle of the intake tube and glue it back together, otherwise the end of it would be buried in the sand :)
