Feeding Zoos/Mushrooms

Hi Jennie,
Its my understanding that zoos feed on phytoplankton like DTs (which is what I dose). Sometimes I spot feed them with a little baster and sometimes I just pour a half cap into a high flow area. I also dose Cyclop-Ez on occasion and they seem to respond.

My mushrooms seem to take just about anything fleshy I put on top of them such as little pieces of shrimp, scallops, etc.

What about everyone else?

I talked with a guy at my LFS and he says he feeds his zoos blended up brine and spot feeds them. I might try the brine tonight.

Once a month or more (when I have the time) I spot feed my entire tank.

I took a syringe drilled the end out and glued a drinking strap to it.

Shut everything off, mix up a couple of cubes of Prime reef (frozen food mixture) in a small cup with salt water and feed away. : )
wait 5-10 min and fire everything back up.

Some times I use the syring to feed live brine shrimp too.

You could also use a turkey baster.
