F/S - Two Nano Tanks NY NJ area

Hi.

I recently had an offer on a 75G tank that I couldn't pass up (plus my fishies were getting too large for the Nanos.)

Here's the info...

I'll try to include as much detail here as possible so bear with me.

First, pricing:

Custom 9G - $100

Glass 6G - $50

Now for the details...

I built the 9G tank out of 1/4 Plexi a few months back and it served me very well but I foolishly bought fish which outgrew it forcing me into a much larger setup.

For the buyer I'd suggest coral and real small fish & inverts only (my 2 clowns got huge and needed space). Dimensions: 15wx15hx9deep.

Why? - B/c it's the same dimension as the top of my 2 drawer file cabinet (slightly longer)

The price is below what it cost me in materials not to mention the labor I put in. Included is the 9G tank, the 1/2 tubing, huge 1/2 check value, lockline intake and the 10G under desk glass sump tank.

I'm not including the pump as I was using a Rio 1100+ which was slightly too powerful in my opinion and had no good way of being dialed down.

Also not included are the PC lights. I assume most folks will think about MH lighting but if someone wants the PC lights I'd sell it for $50. It has 2x32W bulbs, one is actinic and there are two cords and a fan - made by custom sea life - now called current USA).

As you can tell, I took some pride in building it and would be happy to answer any questions.

Also, in case you're wondering, the purpose of the sump tank was to create an overall 19G of water displacement allowing me to pack a lot more stuff into the show tank without worry. I was also able to do minimal monthly water changes.

6G tank info.

I bought this tank and originally had a goldfish inside. The filer consisted of a powerhead which fed water over a filter pad and back into the tank. Long story short, the powerhead gets way too hot and cooked my fish at over 85deg on morning. I've been using it to circulate water in a larger tank of mine with no issue. Anyhow, the tank itself is made of glass and has rounded edges. It's real pretty and that's basically why I was attracted to it. It comes with a top and buit in PC light and I added an aquaclear type hang on unit in place of the pad.

I used this tank to hold some green chromis, some crabs, and a huge starfish along with a bunch of live rock and macro algae. This tank too did very well until I combined all my Nanos into a 75G I'm now using. Your main interest here should be the tank, though I'll include all the original parts (and the powerhead) for your reference. I'll also throw in the hang on filter too since I have no use for it. Almost forgot... I also have a little glass heater that cost me a small fortune and will go along with it.

I highly prefer pickup to shipping these things. I live in Rockland County Exit 11 off the Palisades but I also work in Midtown NYC if that helps anyone out there.

** Also, I do NOT have any of the live rock pictured (used it all) but I do have a fairly large bucket of Live Sand anyone is welcome to - no req to buy the tanks.

Thanks,

Ken
