extra light

I have a 18watt compact pc light for my minibow 2.5. It sits about 3" from the surface. its one of those jebo mini fixtures. Any way I have room for one more bulb so i was thinking a 13 watt actinic. Im only keeping zoas and a mantis. This this be an over kill with actinics?

What kind of bulb is currently over the tank? Adding another 13 watts of actinic may be too blue for some and others like the added blue, especially the way the corals flouresce under the added actinic. It won't hurt the corals, its just a matter of opinion about there being too much blue and that is entirely up to you. HTH, Skip

I have a JEBO 18 watt 50/50 bulb.

An additional 13 watts of light would be a good addition but if you only add actinic it may look too blue for your taste but it is a personal opinion on what looks good and whats too blue. If you only want additional light then a second 50/50 bulb would just make the tank look brighter than it currently is. HTH, Skip
