I have used epoxy many time on fastening plastic pieces on both my cubes with great success.

I even used the waterproof epoxy for my ICA unit when it came apart, stuff worked like a champ.

It's no different than superglue just a tad stronger in my opinion. Whats wrong with just using the super glue?

Sadie,

Here is what my LFS recommended to me, the stuff works so well that when I flew down to visit Dragon79 I glued many of his frags with this stuff.

I think you'll find this stuff really good for zoas since I used it on my award winning pico and never had problems.

Sadie,

It holds up rock to rock super well, that's why I recommend it. I purchased mine from my LFS but I'm sure you can get it online...

sadie as long as it says cyanoacrylic on it it is safe, the stuff mike has there is the "gel" type it is much thicker then normal super glue and can be found at many hardware stores. I don't know if loctite is cyanoacrylic but I would be leary if it isn't don't know for sure though???????

yes the super glue gel we have is the ethyl cyanoacrylate but unsure of the epoxies full ingredients but I will call them in the morning for their MSDS sheet ... thanks for the answer , I am still very green behind the ears and some times come across as being thick and not understanding , sucks having a LD at times

Sadie my LFS will ship it out to you if you want it. I was at her shop and they have three in stock; they are $9.99 and will last a really long time.

You may contact them directly at www.atlantisaquarium.net ask for Jolene about that glue.

Thank you so much for that info Mike , you are awsome! I will try to call them today if I cant get it I will buy some superglue gel (I take it this is even thicker than the superglue gel?) our lfs has something that comes in a container that is so thick that when tipped it stays in the same place and doesnt run I may try that if they get that in during this shippment they were out yesterday afternoon.

Mike, thanks for posting the link to that store. It looks like a great shop. I saw some awesome bright red zoo's on their website that I might have to order. I don't seem to find a good variety in color around here. Or maybe the good colors are snatched up right away before I see them. I have a lot of pink and white corals (and variations around those colors). I want some corals that would contrast a little more. Those bright red zoos are amazing.

I think I'll try out this adhesive you mentioned, too. I have some very bare rocks that could use some corals on them, but I have never used adhesive to attach a frag. Before, I've always let a frag adhere itself to a small piece of rock (via a shot glass), and then positioned the rock afterwards. But I do have some larger rocks that could use some corals on them. I would have to use some type of method to attach the frags to those rocks.

I can vow to that stuff. I used it as my brother gave me his, last time he was down. Unfortunately I used it a few times, and then my girlfriend misplaced it. It's lost, doh! I went and bought another brand from my LFS, some super gel, with the same ingredient, but it was nothing like Mike's gel. The one I got, sucks @ss! All the stuff I glued fell off, I managed only to get one thing to actuallly. Oh well. (mikey, bring ol me some more of that magic glue, thanks bro!)

April,

If you do order please ask for Jolene she's the wife of Ming Wei the owner. She's a huge sweetheart and you will get the best service possible.

Let her know that Mike Guerrero sent you her way, she will then give you more attention, I shop there all the time.

And if I don't shop I visit the shop every other day...

They have the best shipping in the industry, I've heard nothing but good remarks from online customers that I know down in Los Angeles...

Mike

P.S
I helped her install a chiller in her nano cube at the shop; as she knows I love nanos....
