I don't know if its bad or good or indifferent, but my elephant snail/slug (its about he size of a half dollar) has what looks like tiny white sea squirts growing on its shell. It has been staying on the underside of a rock and not moving around like it normally does. He is still alive. Should I try to remove what looks like the squirts? Help before it may be too late.

I tried finding some info on these guys, but couldnt really find anything reffering to possible parasitic creatures related to them... the creature you are referring to is Scutus antipodes, right?

Are you able to get any pictures for us? That may make it a little easier.

Could it be the tiny feather dusters that you normally see growing on the glass that you are seeing on its shell?

Elephant slug and company.......

Wow thanks for replying so quickly. I am refereing to the scutus antipode. He was a hitchhiker on a piece of live rock, and he has grown from a dot the size of pea to the size of a fifty cent piece over the last year. I don't think they are feather dusters I really think they are a cluster of white squirts. I will do my best to get a picture as soon as possible and get back to you. Momladyb.
