All in all, everything died and I broke my 5.5 gallon prop. tank completely down. I probably won't restock it or get it going again for quite some time.

My 6 gal nanocube was put back together after a little scrubbing and two complete water changes. Its still cycling and I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with it. I was thinking of trying something really unique in it.

The lesson I learned it buy the mini chiller for your Nanocube! That might have prevented my die-off somewhat.

Yeah im with you DJ.. i dont know why everyone dont want to get a chiller for a modded NANOCUBE is not like is super expensive or hard DIY i suck on DIY and was super easy to installed just screw and thats it and well only hard part is measure and cute the splashward thats it.... so what is $90 for a tank that you will stock with $700plus in corals & more $$ in fish ahhh???? if so cheap person or FRUGAL ... Well start saving $20 a months whats that a nothen so for 4-5months and then get your self a chiller thats for you DJ & all Nanocube owners

Got the 6 gal cube cycling and currently fighting a little green hair algae. Not really sure what to do with it. 5.5 gallon won't be up for awhile.

Any cool ideas for the 6 gallon? Mantis? Cool fish?

Not a great idea really.... Pistol shrimp sucks!!!! well some can keep it but not when you have stuff or plan to have stuff in the sand bed cause they are messy little creaters!! but ill say DJ ... CHIN UP and do your little piece of reef again with some small fishies.. Never give up!

EDDY

P.S: I guess this happens to all of us atleast one time in the hobby!! so far this year: JENNIE,DICKIE & DJ who else??

I actually had a goby/pistol shrimp in the tank before they got cooked and I really liked them. They do knock sand all over the place but it wasn't that bad. They are very entertaining to watch. Maybe I'll add a couple gobies and something else interesting.

What about the regular coral assortment? Going to branch off in any area this go around?
Well since I'd have to start from scratch (everything I had is dead), I've been thinking about fish only for awhile to see what that is like...

Any ideas?

Sorry about neglecting this post...

Here is my tank now (11/9/06) after restocking some. I got all the frags either as freebies from local reefers and from the generous check I received from nanotank members last month for restocking. Thanks again.
