These are pics of my crocea. Although many people believe you need MH lights for them, I haven't had any problems with mine under 130w pc smartlights. In fact since it's on the far edge of the tank, it's really only under one 65w light. I simply placed the clam at the top of the tank. It's been in the tank for over 6 months and has grown some since I got it. It's also colored up quite a bit from the time I first got it. I feed the tank DT's twice a week, I don't turn off my pumps or powerheads when I do, but I make sure that I pour it in right on top of the clam. I do think that I'm pretty much on the very low edge, but MH aren't really necessary for all clams. I do expect it'll be a little bit happier when I upgrade in a month or two to 440w VHO lights. I can't wait to do the upgrade. I'm gonna buy a small maxima to go with this guy after I do. :)

Sweet crocea pics incysor! Yeah, I have pretty much the same story. I've had mine for about 3 months under 130 total PC watts and its been doing great. Mine is in the center of my tank and I dose DTs a couple times a week. Mine has also attached itself to my live rock. I guess he likes it there.

I get DTs at Global or City Pets. They have in the fridge. I also feed cyclop-eeze but I'm not sure if the clam specifically benefit from it or not.

I've made quite a few changes to the tank in the last few weeks. I basically tore everything apart in an effort to pick out all of the caulerpa and I also dosed with Flatworm exit. During this whole process, I basically took out all the frags I've collected in the last 2 years and put them into my 5.5. I added a new 7/26 pic.

Also new to the inhabitant list is a 6-line wrasse.

Yup, same setup. I've got way too many tanks going to spend money on upgrading lights at the moment.

Here are some updated pics after my move. I've taken out a lot of the frags and either traded them or placed them in other tanks.

Just to update everyone, I sold this tank about two months ago. It was a great tank and my first full-on nanotank. I had it for over two and a half years and it was just time to get rid of it. I guess you can say I needed a change. I also parted with my prized hammer coral but I know I will get another one some day.

I sold the full setup to a guy here in Texas. I'm trying to get some pics of how he set it up back up and will post them if/when I get them.

I just reread this entire thread and you said that you had a DIY surface skimmer on your prizm and in another place you mentioned you had modded the prizm. I am curious as to how you built the surface skimmer and what other mods did you do to it? I would appreciate any pics you may have. Thanks, Skip

The guy who I sold this tank to about a year ago sent me a pic of what it looks like currently.

I think it looks great! Here it is:
