Mini-Jet 404 Powehead 80 gph

25 lbs Fiji live rock
20 lbs Caribbean Aragonite or ~2" sand bed
12 Hermits
3 Turbo Snails
Coral Banded Shrimp
3 Fighting Conchs
Feather Duster
Yellow Polyp
Green Star Polyp
Brown Star Polyp
Misc. shrooms
Green Tip Hammer Coral
Pulsing Xenia
Candy canes
Green Torch
Leathers
Zoanthids
Galaxy
Frogspawn
Hydrpohora
Waving Hand Anthellia
Green Pagoda Cup
5" Crocea Clam
Red Open Brain

6-line Wrasse
tons of other corals that I can't think of right now

Sorry guys, I just edited my first post. I think I answered all your questions though .

Wonderful time progression, DJ. Keep up the good work, and keep us posted on how it's doing.

Oh, btw, how's my cousin doing in your tank?

How does the Red Sea Prism work for you? Does it release bubbles back into the tank? I am looking for a hang on that DOES NOT release bubbles in the tank.

I read before that you recently got a rbta... do you have any updated full tank pics with it? I'm thinking of possibly getting one... do you think the 12 is too small for it?

Dollarz81- the prizm does not release bubbles into the tank. It gets a bad rap but I like it and its very affordable. I've made a few mods to it and I'm happy with it.

wizord25- my rtba initally was on top of everything then moved in less than a day underneath my rock into a cave in the back with little or no light. I've since learned that they don't really require or need that much light and I was patient and just let it move around where it wanted to. 5 or 6 days later, it found a nice home in the back corner of my tank. If it's happy, I'm happy :D Will post pics shortly.

Sorry, didn't answer your question...I think it would be fine in your 12 gal. I would wait until everything is nice and settled before making the purchase though. I've heard that they are usually pretty expensive.

I've only had mine for a few weeks though so maybe someone else can chime in here who has kept one a little longer in a nano.

If you plan on getting a BTA of ANY type, make sure it's the first coral/invert you purchase (after everything gets settled out, of course). The main reason for this is that they tend to wander in search of a decent spot to settle down...and if you have any other corals in there at the time, they run the risk of getting stung.

I've had a lot of requests to do so but I just can't bring myself to do it at this time. Maybe in another year or so when he doesn't fit in there any more :D.

I see you've got a leather and some GSP frags up for grabs. I think I've got a really small powerhead with your name on it...

They were impossible to keep. I actually had two (purple & yellow) and they both eventually died. I purple one did ok for a few months then eventually withered away to nothing. They require heavy feeding I guess and they were just really hard to keep. Look cool but not recommended by me. I got both of them at City Pets.

Here a really nice pic I'd forgotten about

Same here. Never had ANY luck whatsoever keeping gorgo's alive in a tank. They fall right into the category of "things people should never keep in a reef", alongside flowerpots and manatees.
