Dark and lit fuge

I just realized that with an AC300 and an ACMini w/IceProbe on my tank, I can have two fuges, one lit and the other dark. Does anyone else have something like this? How well would the Mini fuge work with the IceProbe bringing down the temp? I'll have the heater in the lit fuge, too; will that hurt the animals?

Hmm...interesting questions. I'm running an AC300 only on my 5.5. I wish a heater would fit in there. What kind of heater do you have?

I'd like to add a little 13 or 9watt light back there as well. Right now its basically just full of rubble rock.

I plan to have a Tronic 50w in the AC300, with the plastic heater guard. It fits at an angle; I'm going to keep it between the pump and the baffle. I also plan to have one of those mini 7w clamp-on lights over the fuge. I'm going to keep the lit one lighted 24/7.

Is there a viable way to measure the effectiveness of having two fuges for the whole tank?
