Hey guys, I am sure you have all heard of the M-Tank Put out by Finnex. Really nice acrylic bowfront tank with built in wet/dry filter. Well I am going to hack mine up and add a custom built sump/fuge to the tank. I am just waiting for some more parts to come in and I will finish off the tank as soon as possible. But for now I am going to be running a AquaMedic Ocean Light 150W HQI with a 20k bulb for lighting. A MyReefCreations Nano Calcium reactor, with pinoint pH controller. With filtration done my my custom sump/fuge. Protein skimmer with be a AQUA-C Urchin Skimmer that will be placed into the sump.

Still constructing.

Final construction.

Calcium Reactor.

MH Light.

And finally a shot of the tank.

Will have step by step pictures showing progress of the tanks growth.
Hope to hear critisizm and ideas from you guys as this goes along. Thanks!!

Thanks! I can't wait to really get working on it. I am going to stick with the reactor for now and see how it works out. If it doesnt I will go back to a dosing system. Ill update pics as often as I work on things. Between work and school/homework it may be a week or 2 before the system is back up and running. I may swap the substrate out for live sand as well. :)

I may swap the substrate out for live sand as well.
it will eventually become live sand from the live rock it will take some time but the live rock will seed it if you want a cup of live sand may also help speed the seeding of the substrate :)

Thats about all I have on the setup, and for the livestock so far, I picked up a red montipora tonight at work *yes I work at a LFS =) * A small zoanthid frag, emerald crab, serpent star, common linkia, and 10 turbo (margarita) snails, and 20 blue leg hermits......

Thats all for now guys enjoy. :D

Thanks for the compliment! Yeah I spent a while planning this out, soo good to see it finally come together and running as planned. And yeah the monti is gorgeous!! The pics really dont do it justice. Ill try and take some better macro pics of it tomorrow night after work. Im planning on doing mostly sps and clams in this tank with the exception of a few lps and other randoms I can pick up for cheap along the way. I have some awesome managers at work that take care of there employees. Like the 5 dollar frag of zoos plus 20% off =) Honestly the best job for having a tank. We also got a bluespot ribbon tail ray in last week that is beautiful!!! We really dont want to sell it to anyone so we can use it in our soon to be 320 gallon display tank. Anyways as time goes on there will be more pictures and everything else to come along the way. If anyone has questions feel free to ask =)
