Current or Coralife?

All things being equal (same wattage, types of lamps, price, etc.), which is the better brand to go with for a lighting setup?

I'm currently using a coralife fixture now, and don't have any problems with it, but i know other people that swear by current usa and won't touch a coralife fixture...

Just wondering if anyone had an opinion on whether one was better than the other or not in terms of brightness/reliability/etc...

They seem to be the most popular ones online and in the LFS, so it probably is just a matter or preference, but if anyone has any experiences with them, please chime in :smile:

heres a dittle, I have a coralife 96w powerquad and Im going to be getting the current bulb as a replacement. Looks the same in terms of fit, just wodering how well the bulb is in terms of brightness and others.

i run all coralife fixtures on my tanks. been very happy since. durability and look means alot to me, ill spend the extra money to have something that look right in both aspects.JMO

I've got a couple Coralife fixtures and I like them a lot. What I have read on the Current USA models is that they use a parabolic reflector instead of flat and that gives them a lot more output. They might also use Sunpaq bulbs, but I'm not sure. I think the Sunpaq bulbs are supposed to be pretty good.
