Welcome CT Nano Reefer and nice tank! Is it acrylic? What is its age and lighting? More pics too please :D

p.s. I moved it from its original location to create a whole new post dedicated to your tank.

Ive lost the pics to my other Nano cube, so I figured I'd just post this one instead..it's not really a recent pic of it, but it's the only one I have at the moment..I will take more pics in a day or two... :D

the chiller was designed to either be installed threw a hole drilled in the glass, or dropping it threw the top of a HOB refugium, or power filter...

I guess she wants to know as to the reason there's a chiller in there in the first place, is heat a problem, that makes it necessary to have a chiller.

BTW nice tank... :D

What I was getting at is does your tank temp run higher than normal and that is why you're using a chiller on a tank that small?

yes there is a slight heat problem , only in the summer time..i live on the third floor of a house, and with the heat rising, the tank will get close to 83 degrees...I also run a 150w HQI DE MH fixture 10" over the tank, which also creates a slight heat problem..with this HOB chiller, the temp stays right at 78!!!! :D :D :D

That's great!

I really like that branch on the top right with the zoos growing on it. It almost looks like a person with two oustretched arms.

Very pretty tank. Do you have any fish in the tank other than the 3 clowns? Speaking of those 3, do they get along ok? My understanding is that 3 was a bad idea cause 2 would likely pair off and beat up the 3rd.

CT,

How efficient is your ice-probe? I wanted one for my JBJ Nano Deluxe to control my heat problem but shyed away since I didn't see no way to add it in.

I've heard JBJ will be making a chiller for nano's in March just bejore summer hits. Away, does it make a lot of sound? I heard the fan stays on continuously?

hi mike...I think the ice probe is super efficient. if you wanted to add it to your nano cube i guess you would have to drill a hole through the glass...I will tell you that my ice is just about silent.. no kidding!..its that quiet!. the only way the fan would stay on continously, would be if you didn't have the controller for it..You can use there controller, or do what I did...i purchased the Digital Aquatics Reef Keeper controller. best $200 I ever spent..Honestly! I run a 150w DE HQI MH on my 16g, and the iceprobe keeps my tank at 77.5 with ease..hope this helps!..anymore questions..just ask! :D
