I have a 24 gallon aquapod pc (64 watt stock), that has cycled for 4 weeks, has 25 lbs of live rock, 20 lbs of live sand, 1 damsel, 2 mexican turbo's, 3 astrea, 3 blue hermits, 2 red hermits, s.g. 1.023, ph 8, nitrate 0, nitrite 0, amm 0, ...

I was interested in adding my 1st corals. I see there are a number of softies I can start with. Are there some you can recommend that won't over take the tank, but will be pretty and are easy maintenance.

Thanks

mushrooms are always a good choice - colorful, variing textures, and hardy, but are not "softies", (or true corals for that matter) good softies include - any of the many "tree corals" that are commonly available. most tend to be brown or beige but some can be green and may even flouresce under actinic lighting. You may also include leathers in a 24 but be aware most grow quite large and fast (softies do as well but generally not as big) and you may not have enough light for the very popular yellow leather.

:welcome to nanotank.

You may also want to look into zoanthids, a lot of different and bright colors available. Ricordias are nice, mushrooms are a good option, leather corals like cabbage leathers, finger or devils hand leathers are also nice and are available in browns, tans, cream and even green coloration.
