Anyone know anything about Chitons? Are they reef safe? I have found one in my tank... (5 months later and still discovering new stuff, how cool is that?!) and I am just looking for a little info.

or similar they are great Diatom eaters but the bad side is that their main source of food is coraline algea but they will eat diatom and other kinds of algea... and well hard to find in our systems but once in awhile you get them i kept mine for long time i used to love his sheld until i had a swing in my PH and died...weird since was the only invertebrate that died maybe they are kinda sensible who know but anyways here is more info about them:

I saw that article after I posted, Ed. Definitely not the first one. It's only about 1/8" long but shell is the same color as coral sand.

Chitons are great at camouflage. I have a few, that come as hh's, and have had no problems with them. Cool little critters actually. Almost like having a armadillo dinosaur in your tank.
