I have a Bubble Coral that does not open up very much. Do any of you have some suggestions as to why it doesn't form the bubbles?

Well I can tell you that they usually like lower lighting and mild currents. Their tissue is pretty fragile and can be easily damaged. Also they should be fed once in a while.

What conditions is it in right now?

The Bubble Coral is on the bottom and in the back of a 29 BC. What do you mean by once in a while? I alternate a mixture of frozen foods and flakes, once each day.

1x per week target feeding mysis if you want to
lower light may help but definitly protected from flow
make sure though that their are no rocks or other sharp objects anywhere in it inflation path and that nothing is pestering it. many times LPS's such as a bubble do not open fully because a shrimp, crab, clown or a nipping fish is pestering it.
also there are two types of bubble coral the "pearl" does not have the large bubbles associated with the standard Plerogyra sinulosa
