Blue coral?

[The Kapenta Kid]

I found this growing on a piece of LR in a store. Is it some sort of blue leather soft coral??
Unfortunately a couple of bits broke off on the way home. I stuck them down to rocks with a spot of Superglue (e.g. pic 023).
If you know what it is, what's the best way to care for it. Light, food, current etc. Thanks.

How is your sponge doing Kapenta Kid? I have seen those before at a LFS and they are really cool.

It's still hangin' in there. Some of the fragments died but others seem OK. The right hand side of the main root piece (second pic above) died from one day to the next, but I resorted to heroic surgery and sliced the sound 'root' down the middle and discarded the side attached to the dead bit. The patient is alive and well a week later.
The fragment in the first pic is still doing well.
Once I learned what it was I had no high hopes seeing the prior battering it had taken, but I am somewhat encouraged by the continuing survival of some bits.
I'll keep you posted.
