Black Spots on my Clowns???

I need some expertise now. I have two small clowns. Seem to be doing well but 2-3 days ago i noticed black spots on them. They have more on them today. Their fins and mouth look normal... in fact everything does about them except for those spots. Any ideas (remeber i am new to this) Thanks!

I perform a 3 gal water change weekly (15 gallon tank). Other creatures seem to be fine (shrip, crabs, soft coral).

I have pics and will be happy to email them.

My email is: [email protected]

I can't really tell from the pics, but are the spots raised at all or completely flush with the scales? If you see raised bumps then you may be looking at a case of black ich. http://www.marineaquariumadvice.com/index.html This guy's a guru at fish diseases.

It could just be that the fish are darkening up. Clowns will develop black blotches as they age.Maybe someone else has some input.

Wow Sugar, I like that site that has that section for disease and Emergency. What a great idea. I think I'll post in suggestions here, I think it would be very beneficial to have a section to post for that.

Dragon,

You haven't mentioned anything on the prognosis of Nemo. I left my cell phone at home so I haven't been able to call.

I'm a little anxious to know how he did in the morning.

Couple of things...

Black Ich
Coral Stings

If it seems be fine...no hard breathing, it could also just be natural. My clown...as he's aged has grown black spots in certain areas. Just keep an eye on him but look at disease possibilities as well...don't panick yet if he's still looking healthy and eating.
