I'm going to modify my hood, need to know if anyone knows how to remove the hood from the tank. Any inputs would be great....thanks Ramon

I'm not sur about that exact brand but mos all in ones are only attached by plastic plugs or dimples.

You should be able to work your way arount and maybe try jimmy it with a flat head screwdriver until you find the connection points.

Just take it slow and steady and it will be fine.

thanks for the input. will do. going to put 3 strips of current-usa ledsin there along with original lighting. the 3 strips have 2 10k and 2 460nm each strip....

At the bottom there you should be able to remove those pins in the hinge. I couldn't find a breakout in pdf. Or....you could just mod the hood while it's hinged up. :wlift

I'm moving this to the nano section to keep it clean. :langle

To get more room you could always take out the ballast and make a remote ballast. You could cram a ton of light in there then... :twisted:

Hey Tim, aren't the ballast on the outside of the hood? What do you think of the leds I'm going to use in my hood

I don't have any experience with those LEDs. I am sorry I just assumed that the white area beneath the bulbs had the ballasts in that size tank. do you have any box outside your tank now?

yes, ballasts are outside the hood I believe fans might be in there...
