ok

so i have a 10g tank and i tested all my water parameters and they are good
I noticed my bi color blenny looks really dull in color and i have not seen my firefish anywehere.... My yellow watchman is fine thought.

Is it normal for blennies to change duller in color? and also, it is not eating anything besides the algae that has grown on the tank, what can i do to help it eat?

not seeing your fire fish is a problem because they are normally out and about - check the floor - they like to jump out!
some fish lose color as a reult to stress which may indicate a problem in the tank that your normal parameters may not detect - change some water to be on the safe side (that fire may infact have died in the tank and is causing ammonia spike. also though it may not be an issue some fish lose color over night as a normal thing
eating with bi colors is a hit and miss thing they are mostly herbivore but may take some planktonic food?????????

1st lets touch ont eh fire fish check all around the floor baskets ect check filters and anything he can get to they are known jumpers and may have carpet surfed , on the other hand if you have a cat or a dog look to see if they are smiling , chances are tho he jumped out look real well around the tank and equipment . Return the blenny they really need a bit larger system than you are providing he eventually will run out of food and starve

thanks for your replies
i read on a guide that the bi color blenny should do ok in a 10g but to be on the safe side, im returning the lil guy back to the lfs.... he was my favorite fish :anxious because he had so much personality...o well

As for the firefish, i checked and i am about 99% sure that he didnt carpet suft, and since i dont have any other pets besides my fis, i doubt it was eatan!!

thanks again everyone for your qucik replies

ok, so apparently my fishfish has decided to room in the same burrow/rock crevices that my yellow watchman goby has amde and my peppermint shrimp (who has done a horrible job on the aptasia), so my fiirefish is fine but still returning the blenny to the store

I had NO idea that firefish and my YWG would room together.... :lol3:
