Thanks for the feedback guys. I really wanted to get it running last week but it's just not ready. Still have to finish wiring for the lights and cooling fan. I'm adding longer power cords and easy disconnect plugs. The Jebo lighting setup is on the way too.

UPDATE:

Day 6:

My Jebo 13w fuge light arrived. It looks and works great. It will be replacing the original fuge light I had planned.

Here it is installed.

The cords from the light to the ballast were really short so I bought about 50 ft of 16 gauge electrical wire and a DIY 12 pin female and male plug for an easy disconnect.

Here it is 3 hours later. I wasn't expecting it to be so time consuming but it turned out well.

I also have 4 extra pin slots that I will use for the cooling fan and moonlight which is great because I now can disconnect the lighting, cooling fan and moonlight all at once and still have them on separate timers. Well that's it for now, I'm exhausted and calling it a day. :gcool

More to come!! Thanks for looking!

Mike, Erik - Thanks for the feedback. I liked the fuge light I built but the idea was tossed for these reasons: I would have to remove the canopy to remove the fuge light which will be a drag when it comes to changing the filter pad or having access to the fuge. The design for the bulb to slide in didn't really work out. But I enjoyed building it to look like Aqua Clear specs.

Eddy - I am one step ahead of you Eddy   But I'm probably going to have to buy new wire wrap because this one isn't long enough and it's in two pieces.

UPDATE

I've been lagging on this tank but I finally got it setup and running as of today.

5lbs of Aragalive LS.

2lbs of Fiji LR.

Added 1 gallon from my 6G and 2 gallons of artificial SW from my LFS.

Done!

Thanks for looking!

Question:

Can anyone tell me when I can start using carbon?

UPDATE

I tried experimenting with the one cooling fan I have in the canopy. I set it up to run as a chiller and kept it on for 2 hours straight. Well, it worked but it dropped my temp to 74 degrees. It's just too bad because having it run kept moisture from building up in the canopy which I really liked. I'm probably going to have to build a splash shield for the pc lighting because the moisture really builds up and well even though my lights won't be running for another 1 to 2 weeks (waiting to cycle), I might run into electric problems when I begin to use them.

Installing the ATO

2qt container. It's a bit small. Probably going to upgrade to 1 gallon
