Aquatic Center visit

I decided to head out to Aquatic Center today for the first time. Its a really nice store and I was very impressed. The fish all looked very healthy and he had a nice selection of corals and inverts. I met Kenny, the owner, and chatted with him for a good while. Nice guy with lots of good info. They had decent prices and seemed very organized. I picked up a 6-line and a monti frag. Aquatic Center is certainly going to be one of my regular stops when doing my 'LFS rounds' :D

Stuck my head in Aquatic Center yesterday and chatted with Kenny for awhile. He had lots of nice pieces in stock.

Anyone bought anything from there in awhile? He's got a nice selection.

I was in there on Saturday. I bought a small blue-spot puffer that went in with my dwarf lion. I couldn't pass it up for $15. I also took lots of pics and posted them over on Marsh to try to help folks out that couldn't make out over the weekend. I did the same thing on Sunday night over at Global. The links are below. I'll warn you that there are over a hundred pics between the two threads. I resized them so they're small, but it's still lot if you're on dial up.

Wow, great pics. Looks like you got some good practice in with the ol' camera if nothing else :D . You pick anything up besides the puffer?

You should have seen all the pics I deleted. :?

I got a couple lawnmower blennies from Fish Land. One for the 75, and one for the 40. I picked up a sea pen, and a couple polyp frags from City Pets. And a blue velvet damsel from Global. I'm hoping he'll take care of my flatworm problem. I'll give it a few weeks, if he isn't making a dent I'll go ahead and use flatworm exit. I just prefer to try not to add any more chemicals than necessary. He and the 6-line wrasse are temporary critters. I'll trap them back out once the flatworms are gone and sell them to other hobbyists or take them back to the stores.

Cool. I'm very interested to know if the velvet damsel likes to eat those little buggers. Give us an update in a few weeks with that one.

ReefALot always says that the Blue Velvet likes them, but might not hunt them off himself, but if you take a turkey baster and blast them, up into the water column he will gobble them up like crazy.

I haven't been to anywhere besides Neptunes in over a month, I am sure John and Kenny have been wondering about me. The other day really needed to get a heater and wanted to get a couple of fish.

When to Neptunes bought a little 2" lawnmower, a yellow clown goby, and a jebo heater. Not super high prices, since I would have used more than the difference in gas to go to the other stores. So far the fish doing good, and the heater is working great.

Neptunes I forsee in another 6 months will be a really good store, if only the prices would come down a wee bit.

I picked up 4 very nice zoas frags from kenny the other day. Unfortunately, they dont look the same under PCs than they do under 20k MH. SO now I m looking for a 70W 20K setup.

Well we picked up a yellow zoa frag, a longfin fairy wrasse, a purple firefish, a candy cane, and the teal maze brain he had Monday.

Wow Narkon, sounds like you've made quite a few additions in the last few months. I need to get by and see your box of rocks.

Well, I picked up 26lbs of fiji from him about 4 days ago. He still has plenty of equipment for sale and will until the end of Jan. You just need to PM him at Marsh Reef.
