Aquarium Safe Paint

I want to paint a home made overflow box black to match the background of my tank but the catch is its the part of the over flow that goes in the tank and I need to know what type of paint would be safe to use?

I would think you could safely use spray paint just be sue that they dry compleatly and that they will eventually break down from being in the water HTH

Any paint that is labeled as food safe or food grade will be fine. Regular paint can leach out chemcals even after it has dried. Another option would be to check out www.aquaticeco.com and find some paint that is made for aquaculturing, it will also be waterproof and shouldn't break down in the water.
