Both is a good idea. I have no experience with either the biocube or aquapod but their a great all-in-one system and good for beginners in this hobby. As for your 60gal, its also a good option as the more volume in the tank allows you to keep more also if their is a problem present in your tank its easier to handle as suppose to a nano becuase of its small volume of water. If your gonna go with the 60gal, make sure when you had fresh you didnt medicate with copper as the copper is absorbed in your silicon and once you have saltwater in it the copper will leak and its very bad for when you have fish/inverts/corals. I suggest getting a sump for it and a good skimmer...something like the euro-reef RS80. A sump will allow you to put all your equipment there and aswell increase the volume of water. Going with a sump means you gotta drill your tank, its better then getting an overflow as it could mess up and cause a flood which you dont want. As for lighting it depends what you want to keep in corals. I would recommend MH or T5 High Output as it allows you to keep anything.

If you have anything else just post i'll try to answer em.

When I first took interest in starting a reef system, I was told by everyone I came into contact with that it was useless to have a reef tank less than 75ga. Each place I went to looking for a tank, I was being given different numbers. The lowest number was 29ga.

What was funny about the number games is that each place that I went to had nan cubes setup and running really successful. When I question them on it, each said that the nano cube didn't count and that I would not be successful with a nano cube.

I'm not sure if it was due to the fact they knew I was shopping for a tank and they just wanted to sell me the most expensive tank on the floor, or if it is what I have recently came to know that most LFS don't have a clue about saltwater aquariums. Honestly, there is no limit to the opinions you can get just by going to three different LFS and asking questions on which tank is better, which fish is better, which lights are better and/or which live rock you should use for your tank.

The conclusion that I have come to is that you must decided which is best for your situation. For instance, once I get my Masters degree in Accounting and Finance and I get a good paying accounting job and I can move out my mothers house and move into my own condo, then I can shop for a bigger reef tank. For now, I have to settle upon a 12g reef tank because that's about as big as I can fit into my already cramped bedroom. I live in my bedroom so I have everything but the bathroom and kitchen in my bedroom. My home office is in my bedroom. My surround sound is in my bedroom. :eek:pps :eek:fftopic :whost .

Anyway, I hope you understand where I'm trying to take this. Consider your situation and your long term goal and make your decision based upon what's best for you.

all clowns are asexual. Once you pair them up will they determine who will be the dominant one (female) by fighting. Sounds funny but true lol.
As for your 60gal, yes you could make it a QT tank because it will alow you to qt fish that need swimming space (ie Tangs) but it if you decide on a nano imo i think the 60gal should stay fresh.
