Hi guys,

I just reformatted my computer, so when i got onto yahoo and did a search, a popup came up and said do i want to have a function whereby whatever i type in my searchbar now appears whenever i double click the searchbar. I accidentally clicked yes. Also, if, for example, i did a search on "cowfish", now when i type into the searchbar "c", all previous searches beginning with c open up. How do i change this back to normal? Please help.

best you can do is, when the list comes up press the "delete" button for each one, until they are all gone.

For example...if you were searching pufferfish, and all the stuff you previoulsy searched for with P popped up, like a common one like "p*ssy" then I see why you want to delete them so nobody see what you were searching, lol. Just use your up and down arrows and start deleting away with the delete button and that should cover your tracks.

I to just reformated my computer but I hit NO You should be able to change it through your internet options. If you cant change it theres alot of diff software out there that can clean that up for you and alot of other files at the same time. Windowasher is a good program for that. You can get a 30 day trial period of it for free. Just do a google search on the subject I'm sure you can find a way to turn it back off.

This is gonna make me sound like im making a (terrible) try to hide something but, in all seriousness, my room mate was the one who got me to reformat his computer, and he was the one who clicked yes. Thanks dragon for the method to delete the searches, tried it on his computer, its kosher. Will try to do a search on windowasher on google, thanks for the suggestion.

Now this whole episode just makes me look like some porno addict doesnt it. It's not me who is, honest.
