Ok so I asked for this topic and it came. And last week after I took my camera with me to work, and then went out to eat after work, my truck was stolen with my camera in it. So I missed the deadline........ I have my truck back, but all of my belongings are gone. So I will have to look forward to the next photo contest. My insurance will cover the camera so I should have one within the next few weeks. I did lose alot of cd's and the rear seats??? Don't ask me why some one would take the rear seats out of a chevy blazer??? Hot item on the black market i guess. So it has been a tough week. But I will live. Still have my truck. Well good luck to all of the entries.

aww man, time to get lojack or an alarm. I have had my car stolen before too, but when it was recovered, it was nothing like I remembered it.....very sad. Insurance gave me the value and i bought a newer car. C-ya, sorry for what happened.

Sorry to hear about that. I had my 94 chevy stepside stolen a few years ago. It was never recovered and I assume it was in Mexico the day it got stolen. Oh well..

I don't keep anything nice in my autos anymore. I just stick with the factory cd player as well. That is the key IMO.

yeah, it sucks, but it is a lesson learned. I am just glad I grabbed my computer and cell phone in with me or I would really be hurting... I have lots of work on my computer... Thanks again

Here's a good one for ya: I drive a '99 Dodge Neon (no great prize). I hang out with a bunch of guys that have euro-ed their whole car but they haven't convinced me yet, so factory taillights, seats, dash, everything. Last Xmas my whole family chipped in a bought me a CD player since I have an extensive collection. Well OK, the first time someone broke into my car they took my CD player, all the CDs I had in there (with the visor they were in), and the compass that was stuck to the dash. I was pissed! I was glad I still had my car but I was shaken. Two weeks later to the day it was broken into again, this time they took: my two front seat covers, the matching floor mats in front, the leis around my rearview mirror, and the matching seatbelt covers. How strange! Needless to say I got a car alarm but I haven't managed to put anything back in it yet. How do you get past the feeling of being violated to go back to the way you like it?

I know I still have my car (thank God since the insurance wouldn't get me a new one) and it's not quite the same but why can't people just get a frickin job like the rest of us rather than stealing for those who work hard for what they have?????

Sorry about your loss and missing the contest.

No broken windows thank God! I'm still thankful I've got my car, though I am super-nervous to put anything in it...
