A Raven's Nanotanks

Just thought I would post a few pictures of Anakin, my Raven, with HIS fishtank, and him on top of MY fishtank.

"Here's MY tank.....nah...this is my moms. I was just kidding. She lost the green coral in the middle just the other day though, and all HER fish HIDE when I come around"


Flying over to show you MY little tank.......


"Here we are.....mom gave me the little nano tank with a blue devil damsel in it, and it also has a creepy Mantis in it...which I think looks very good to eat" :chef

"Okay..I am off to do other things. I Just wanted to show you MY little tank. I know it's not much, but I think I am the ONLY raven that's part of Nanotank! :)

NICE set of pictures and well does the bird comes with the tank too??? just toss him out j/k :lol: he is getting big haa has been awhile since you show us a pic of him he looks really happy and healthy... good luck with your nano tank you gonna love it is really easy to take care of a nano...

Top on the tank....

Well, I would say your right, however, he is very smart. He would learn to balance himself on top of a light strip I am sure, but the bad part would be, is that he POOPS whenever he feels like it. I am sure THAT would foul a tank in seconds!!

I've always heard that Ravens are VERY smart, has yours shown any signs of this?

that is a wicked awesome bird... as a lover of fish and birds over all other animals i think you have an ideal situation with a couple of reefs and an awesome bird...

Actually, that poker chip is a magnet on the side of the refridgerator. It was from Las Vegas.....anywhere I travel I try and get a magnet, with a little charm of the place that it came from. Its the only magnet that Anakin cannot peel off the fridge. I have many more, but had to move them to the front :)

Yes, "Corvids" (which includes ravens, crows, jays, and the like) are extremely smart. "They" say that they are right up there with apes and marine mammals in itelligence. I would say YES. Anakin is like a very smart child, who needs ritalin. He has to have constant mental stimulation, or he gets quite surly. He actually thinks before he acts, and will think about how to best handle a given situation. He wrestles with my dogs, plays fetch and tug o war with them.

Down side to him, is they cannot be potty trained very well, like I have done with my parrots. He poops whenever and wherever he wants. So, thats kinda yucky. He is getting better though about pooping on things that wipe easily, instead of my furniture :)
