I thought I'd share two more pics. I purchased some red macro algae that my LFS fragged for me. Also got two sets of button polyps, one is pink variety and the other is orange skirt.

Enjoy...

lol, nice algae blooms on the sand. Thats' so ugly mike, you need to get some serious nassirius snails, assorted sizes, smalls, mediums, and large. I did that and the sand bed is always nice and white.

That or those cool sand sifting gobys are neat. They swallow down that stuff and it flows right out of their gills. :) Well other than the sand, everything else looks good.

Sorry about the sand bed reefers, but I just bought 6 small nassirius sails and dropped them in.

It is going to take a little more time. If I clean the sand bed, the next day the diatoms are there.

My live sand is cycling, everything else is cycled. So I thought I'd share the live rock and NOT THE SAND !!!!

Just ignore the sand for now, take a look at everthing else and you will not see an ounce of diatoms on any of my fine live rock, yeah,,,,,

I don't want a sand sifting goby, they are not colorful and they move too much sand and aquascape without permission.

I'll just wait, the diatoms will die on there own, they always do....

Peace out,

Mike

Thats funny

The tank and rocks and coral look great! Since your not showing the sand I wont comment on it. Although some nice bright white sand would really show off the true colors in your tank. J/K

Still though it's looken pretty good :jacko:

I think it looks great, especially since he has 3 of my favorite things in there, a yellow clown gobie, green frogspawn (favorite LPS), and a blue clam (I like any of the clams as long as they are a pretty blue).
I have a little of the diatom thing going in my tank right now too so I know how you feel but we both know it will pass. Keep us updated, Skip
